3.3.9 iOS version won’t connect to Google Drive

Postby BakaNaru » 16 Oct 2022 13:49

I’m experiencing a weird behavior where when I enter credentials for Google Drive the app shows that goggle drive is Logged In, but when I switch to network tab of the app I receive a message “ Error Fetching Files. Insufficient permissions: Request had insufficient authentication scopes” does anyone know how to fix this?

We had to change the login mechanism recently. Can you log out, kill the app in the app switcher and login again? This should make it work.

I'm having the same issue. I logged out, killed the app, and logged in again but the result was the same. Tried multiple accounts.

Unfortunately it didn’t work. The issue still persists.

Doesn't work with the .10 release either. Tried the suggestion to log out and kill the app still same problem.

I found a work around. If you go to ur Google drive on ur iOS device there's a right menu for each file. Click make available offline then they appear in the icloud drive in VLC. They are not really on ur iCloud but VLC shows them there.

Surely when you make them "available offline" it stores the file locally on the iOS device? Which defeats the purpose of using could storage/stream it directly? Or does it not take up storage space?

This issue has been fixed, and may appear on the next release.

Thank you for your feedback!
