Casting a video shared with me (Google Drive) to ChromeCast on iOS?

Is there anyway to cast a video shared with me on Google Drive to a TV using VLC media player and chrome cast? When I look at my shared networks on VLC, it doesn’t have an option to view documents shared with me.

You can connect to your Google Drive using the Network tab of the VLC-iOS app. Everything VLC can play, can be casted (except for subtitles). Alternatively, use the Google Drive app on your iOS device and ask it to open the video in VLC for playback (and then casting).
