External Devices Subtitles

Just a quick question. I can't seem to get subtitles to work with VLC mobile on an iPad using external drives (usb etc). Everything works fine if I pull the video file and the .srt file to the iPad and name them the same. I just can't get it to work externally. Thanks for any help

Seems very odd no one else is having this problem

I'll try to reproduce. It is possible that VLC is not allowed to access the external subtitles file due to the application sandbox.
