Unable to connect my very old Debian Jessie v8's SMB share.

Hello.

I finally tried updated VLC's iOS app v3.3.1 in my old iPhone 6 + (iOS v12.5.5). However, I'm having problems connecting to my very old Debian Jessie v8's SMB share. VLC does see the share, but won't connect to it. It used to work in the past with older VLC versions (e.g., 3.2.13) like a few months ago so I assume it broke in the recently updated VLC release(s). I tried rebooting my iPhone and reinstalling VLC. They didn't help. Anyways, I also noticed using incorrect username and/or password even doesn't prompt a message or anything. I wonder if VLC is even connecting. I also tried with and without prefer SMB 1 in VLC's settings too. They didn't make any differences.

Anyways, I also tried my newer iPhone (12 mini with its iOS v15.4)'s updated VLC. It had no problems connecting to the same PC's Samba share. So, why doesn't it work in my old iPhone 6 +? Is there a bug or something?
