SMB still does not work

So I somehow (NOT) solved the problem, bear with me because is very strange. and I solved only partially..
developers.. this is very interesting and I believe this will drive you to the problem.
I am on the last beta as of today 11/2/2022.

SMB1 switch is disabled.

I was not able to access my SMB shares, when i was on network I gave the IP of my server (192.168.178.2) Win 10.
the wheel start spinning and .. nothing happen.. i could go back to the previous menu but then everything was stuck in the networking menu. all the rest was working. i had to close and reopen the app to restart.
this is what I did to access SMB shares

I went to cloud files, NOW.. when you do that you actually are launching the FILES APP in the IPHONE... you can do the same steps below in the files app.
pressed icloud,
pressed the 3 dot menu on top right,
selected connect to server.
i put smb://192.168.178.2
press connect
gave my username and password


and.. was stuck for a while, with the wheel spinning beside connect to server
got an error "there was a problem connecting to the server"

ok, so i went back and select again "connect to server" but this time i gave the address as :
smb://192.168.178.2/c (c is a valid share name)
gave the credentials and immediately got this error "This file couldn't be saved because a file with the same name already exist. and then in small letter below, on the same message "A file with the same name already exists.

I pressed ok to dismiss the error window
pressed NEXT again

BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! connected I can see all my shares!!!
but when I select one of the share, the VLC goes into that share and then stays in LOADING with the spinning wheel forever. after a while i get an error, but not in a error window, on the application window that says "current unavailable, The folder contents could not be displayed because of an unknown error. Try again"

now If I go in local files, under "shared" i can see the icon of the globe with beside 192.168.178.2 if i click i can see my shares.. if i click on a share it's stuck on loading. with the spinning wheel. after a while i get an error, but not in a error window, on the application window that says "current unavailable, The folder contents could not be displayed because of an unknown error. Try again"

so IMHO, it's more an IOS issue than a VLC issue. i was able to connect to SMB a year ago.. but now not anymore..

I can replicate all the steps above, i hope this will helps the developers to understand what is going on.
