Delete video not working

I'm new here to the forum. Hello and good morning!

I'm having a little issue with VLC on my iPad mini (4th gen).
When I'm on the video tab and select a video to delete none of the selections at the bottom of the screen work. (Add to playlist, edit, delete...)
I've restarted the app, restarted my iPad, and even deleted and reinstalled the VLC app. It's still doing the same.

Indeed, this sound quite problematic. Does it happen to a specific video or any other types of media such as an audio file?

Could you please confirm the version of the VLC app and the iOS version of your ipad as well?

Thanks for the response.
It happens to all the videos. I just added a music file and it's happening with that also.
3.2.13 is the VLC version and my iPad is 15.2.

You are clicking the edit icon in top right corner, and then selecting an item by checking one of the circles, right? Before you select an item, the actions remain greyed out, but turn orange after you select one or more items. That works for me perfectly on iOS 15.2 and 3.3.0 beta of VLC (I don't think the beta has changed anything in that respect). Maybe sharing a screenshot would help.

The only way I've found to get rid of the videos I've watched is to delete and reinstall VLC.

FWIW: I did find a workaround.

On the iPad:
Settings
General
iPad storage
VLC
Select EDIT next to documents then delete the files you don't want.



Not very convenient though...

Sorry that I could not help, sometimes the interface on iOSis not exactly self-explanatory. So I cannot reproduce this behavior on my device. Once the buttons are orange, they produce some results. I tried various settings (portrait/landscape, light/dark, etc.) but cannot get the buttons to fail.

We did some improvement on how these actions work during the last year, and it will be released with the next version.

I installed vlc and the menu page has no menu to select a device or source, it just says no media files found. I am trying to view video lessons off dvds.

@Tnnman: please open a new thread for a new problem. Note that DVD playback is not supported on iOS.
