VLC Files Not Showing But Still There

Postby D3K » 23 Oct 2020 20:44

Hi all.

I've added a season of a show to my phone this morning and not all the episodes are showing on the app. I added 22 episodes through iTunes as I normally do when there's a large amount and only 8 actually show.

iTunes shows them being there and I can open the documents through my 'Files' app but if I try and skip to the next episode or rewind to the previous episode it doesn't work and it won't play the next one automatically either.

The file types are mp4 and I haven't had the issue before so I was wondering if someone could help me please? I've tried replacing them all with the same files, removing them all and readding them, I've also done a rescan of my library through the app but it's as if there are only 8 episodes on there.

Please let me know if you need any more information, thanks in advance.

I just thought I'd follow this up with a workaround I've done. I deleted them all again and added them through iTunes whilst the app was closed. This gave me everything aside from Episode 7 and 17 (out of 22).

So I tried it again by deleting those episodes through iTunes and then readding them. I managed to get episode 7 on there but not 17, I tried again and 17 didn't come on either. I then transferred the file through wifi and it showed as 17-1. I managed to rename it to 17 and checking on my files app the other one seems to have been renamed 17-1.

It seems to not like displaying them whilst the app is open and it's hit and miss once closed. Is this something I'm doing wrong or is there a workaround?
