support for Airplay 2?

I gather from this forum that some people are getting VLC for tvOS to play sound through Airplay 2 to Sonos speakers. Why am I not able to? I thought updating tvOS to 13 would help but no luck. VLC passes audio to bluetooth speakers just fine, but not to Sonos. Other video apps are passing audio to Sonos just fine. Is this a known issue with VLC for tvOS?

What happens when trying to play on Sonos speakers? Is silence all you get?

Yes, silence. This is from a multitude of files, wether I do remote playback or SMB.

Alright, this is fixed for iOS already. We just need to update the app for Apple TV then.

How will I know when the tvOS app has been updated? (I must travel to access the Apple TV, don't want to waste a trip)

You can't really, because this part of the App Store is not visible from the web. If you didn't change the default configuration on the Apple TV, it will be updated automatically though.

Bump, having the same problem with Apple TV4K, remote playback with sound settings set to Airplay (2) to Sonos One. (Completely Silent)
