VLC for iPAD

My iPAD was updated lately, so I believe the VLC app (3.2.6) I have is the latest. I have not used the app for almost 9 months and I did not expect this 3.2.6 version looks so much different. Anyhow, I tried to use it but I encounter problem with adding new video to the app. In addition, I have a couple more questions after exploring this version. Here are them.

1a) I have a few mp4 videos added to and organized in an album in Photos (app). How can I copy/transfer this album to VLC as a folder? I used to be able to create folders in VLC and place video clips in them.
1b) This one may be similar to 1a). How do I create playlists since I see this at the bottom in the app.

2) Under 'Network', I cannot enable 'Sharing via WiFi' as it says (in grey) 'No active WiFi connection' which is not correct. My iPAD is connected to my home wifi network. Please help.

3) I've read on internet that there should be a VLC icon on the top left corner in the app. I do not see it. Am I missing something?

4) There is no Add, Download, nor any other action list/menu. Is it supposed to be like that?

5) Is there any user guide for VLC app for iPAD that I can read/save?
