Please help. VLC Mobile v3.2.4 on iPad4 ios v10.3.4 deleting a file does not free storage

Hello!

My problem:
VLC Mobile v3.2.4 on iPad4 iOS v10.3.4 deleting a file does not free storage space.

Start/stop app, on/off device, nothing works. I've deleted well over 2gigs of video files, but the space is not returned. The files are no longer visible in the VLC mobile app, but the space has not been freed.

I tried using iTunes (12.6.2) to access the iPad and try to free the space, but I can't see a list of installed apps.

Before the major update to VLC Mobile I was always able to remove files and get the space back after the next start cycle.

Is this problem something with my system, or is it an issue with the app?
