VLC ipad not showing films on media server fritzbox

Hello all
I have a fritzbox and attached to it is a HD as NAS. Mediaserver has been enabled on fritzbox and I can view some files when accessing media server from app. Though the weird thing is that when scrolling down the list of films VLC does not seem to show the rest that reside on the hrd drive. The media server indexing is successful on fritz box. Any help would be great in solving this. Also as I upload new film onto the drive more films are omitted in VLC. Cheers all.

i've got a similar problem when trying to access music - not films.
Environment: VLC Player 3.1.1 (309) on my iPhone (iOS 11.4.1). Also have a fritzbox as uPNP Server.
The server works fine with other clients, including Win7 with VLC Player 3.0.3 or Ubuntu with VLC.

On iOS VLC fails to load any item list, exceeding a certain (variable) length - no matter if i navigate via artis, album, folder, ...

Looks to me like a similar problem as fixed on the Mac OS X plattform long ago, see

Any ideas?
I can provide logs, if advised how ...

We finally fixed this problem for the forthcoming 3.2.3 update of VLC-iOS.
