No audio on Hardware decode

Postby garanda » 18 Dec 2018 11:32

I'm using the latest vlc version 3.1.4 and I have this issue when option hardware decode is on, the sound not work.

If I turn off Hardware decode then the sound works fine.

Appreciated any help.

Please provide more information about the media you are trying to play and whether you are using headphones (wired? bluetooth?) etc.

I'm playing unicast and multicast streams, seems to not working on latest Apple devices like iPhone Xs or iPad Pro 11". I'm not using headphones just the iPhone/iPad speaker, like I said with hardware decode off, sounds works fine on those devices.

Maybe related, if I try to change the audio track with HW decode on the stream freezes.

On older devices like iPad 2017 or iPhone 6S plus the sound works fine with hardware decode On and switch audio track also works.
