Orientation lock blanks out video control buttons after v 3.1.0 update

I was very happy to see the orientation button added to the features in the last update (v 3.1.0). My happiness was short lived when I discovered that locking the orientation blanks out the video control buttons! Surely this must be a glitch. Having to unlock the orientation button every time you want to pause or use any of the other buttons is very disruptive to the viewing experience. I really like the orientation lock otherwise and would like to use it but not at the expense of the video control buttons. Not sure if you’re aware of this glitch. Is there a fix coming for this?

When is this going to be fixed already?? To make things worse, when disabled, the normal iOS lock doesn’t even work so the video is swinging every which way!

Still no fix since July? If you aren’t going to fix this, can you just get rid of the orientation lock altogether so that it goes back to the iOS orientation?

This will be resolved through a large UI rework next year. We are not going to address this in the current UI, sorry.
