Need to be able to add folders to playlists

The best thing would be nested folders, where I could choose a folder containing other folders, and it would play all music in the subfolders below it. I am guessing that this is not possible in iOS.

The next best thing would be to be able to create playlists, and choose folders to add to the playlist. I know that it is possible to add a playlist for SMB files, but what about local (on the device) files?

This is a problem: If I create a playlist folder of random tunes, and drop them into VLC IOS, the app still sorts them into album folders, and there is no way to see all of the tunes as a single playlist. Choosing All Files is not working - I still see only album folders.

VLC IOS is such a great app and player, and has the potential to be the very best in the world, but it really needs to be able to handle sorting and custom playlists to do it.

I agree. I was looking for a basic MP3 player and figured VLC would be ideal, but the "Smart handling of music albums" is just TOO smart for its own good.
