How to get chrome cast to work with VLC version 3.1

I have the lastest version of VLC on my iPad.
I have TV shows saved in VLC but I can’t see how to stream them using Chromecast.
I can stream other apps but can’t get this to work.
My iPad is a couple of months old and has the latest ISO update.
Any help would be great.

if a Chromecast is detected in your network, the little Chromecast icon should appear on the top right of the video view or the player.

Chromecast is detected by my network but I don’t have the chromecast icon appear within the video view I am not sure if there is a setting I am missing within VLC or not.
