Unable to download files back from iPad via Wi-Fi sharing

When I enable Wi-Fi sharing, I'm able to open up a browser and drag & drop video files onto my iPad without any problems.

Underneath there's the "Download Files" section which states "Just click the file you want to download from your iPad." but when I do, nothing happens. At most I get a new tab with the file URL in the address bar, but nothing downloads.

I've tried with both Safari and Chrome on Mac but to no avail.

iPad is running iOS 11.3 and Mac is running macOS 10.13.4 with latest versions of Safari and Chrome. Just wondering if I'm missing something or if this feature doesn't work in the latest version?

I've got exactly the same thing - I've also tried using IE in Windows 8 within a Parallels VM.

I have a bunch of files on my iPhone which I want to get back onto my computer but it doesn't seem to be working.

I've just tested it using a file with no spaces and I can download it without any problem.

I've been going through and renaming the files I want to drag back, even after renaming them to have no spaces in their filenames, some of them still won't download. I'd say I'm running at about 50% success.

Just tried with one file without spaces... downloaded succesfully.
