tvOS 11.3 & VLC 3.0.2 on Apple TV 4gen

Hello,
I stupidly upgraded my VLC app today, thinking it's too old (must have been a version from around April 2017 when I got Apple TV) and when playing movies stored on the device I can't invoke Media details, forward/backwards/play buttons are gone, invoking menu to download Opensubtitles srt is gone too.

What the hell happened with this version? The old one worked just fine on tvOS 11.3, this new one is a total mess for me... I tried to delete and reinstall it but no luck, the Media info menu is just gone.

Anybody having same issues?

If you pause playback and swipe down, does the menu appear?

Hello Felix,
I accidentally figured it just now and it does work! I was used to just pull down the menu from tv remote.... any chance to bring back the old behavior through settings toggle please?
Sometimes Opensubtitles file is not the right srt and it was easier to check when movie was playing...
