Apple tvOS Airplay audio streaming from iPhone music while playing a movie with VLC 1.1.1

I recently upgraded to tvOS 11.2 and VLC 1.1.1. In previous version I use to be able to start a video on VLC, then activate airplay audio and click play on my iPhone music player which would allow me to show a video (with its audio muted) but streaming a music playlist from my iPhone for the audio on the TV. After the upgrade if i try to do this the video pauses when I click play on the iPhone music. Is there a way to disable this in the new app? Or if possible can you tell me where this feature is located is enabled/disabled in the Xcode and I can create a modified build myself. Thanks in Advance

I don't know this part of the codebase that well. A good place to start looking would be VLCPlaybackController.m and there setVideoOutput and setVideoTrackEnabled.
you can check if we set the videotrack to -1 which is disabled. Let me know if you need any further help to get started!

Thanks for your reply carola. I spent a few hours experimenting with changing the words YES/NO and -1 to 1 but it doesn't work. Is there any way you can give me more tips or tell me specifically what lines numbers to change thanks - Joe
