Playing videos from iPhone library

Can I somehow play the avi videos that are save to my iPhone library?
Is there a way to import them into VLC mobile without connecting to a computer.
I have an sicard that I put into my Syd card adapter which plugs into my iPhone. The avi files get imported into my photo library. I want to play these videos with VLC Player

I understand I can use wifi.
What I want to do is play an avi video that is in my iPhone library.

VLC cannot access the contents stored in Photo Library and due to a bug, you cannot use the Share-Sheet in Photos to move them to VLC either. For the latter, I'll see how I can fix that in reasonable time.
