No sound when using airplay for sound output (airport express)

Hi,

tested in two different environments. When you set sound output on Apple TV 4 or an Apple TV 4K to an airplay device (airport express), there is not sound. Other apps than VLC give perfectly synced sound & video; VLC however gives video without any sound.

Can anyone else confirm this behaviour?
