Hello, can you give me any news on the issue, where Apple TV is not capable of recognizing subtitles from SMB server? The app is great but missing this feature is a huge downside as it forces me to watch only movies with forced subs and that's not always possible.

This will be supported in future versions of VLC for Apple TV. It is on our list.
