Aspect ratio setting still not working on 2.8.1 (pictures inside)

Updated to fix the bugs thanks for the speedy update but the problem persists I've included some pictures as evidence I get the same behaviour for every video I try.
I'm using iOS 10.3.3 on a 12.9 inch 256GB iPad Pro running VLC 2.8.1

I used to be able to change the aspect ratio until this update (2.8.1)- now, when I tap to change the aspect ratio, nothing changes. It happens when I'm watching a video that has a default ratio of 4:3- when I cycle through the other various aspect ratios, the video remains in 4:3 ratio.

I found a work around in the mean time select the ratio you want it will initially do nothing pinch to minimize the video then tap the play bar at the bottom to maximize the video the video will now be in the aspect ratio you have set it as. You have to do this every time you open a video unfortunately but I hope this gets fixed in 2.8.2
