tvOS - Prepopulating list of network streams

Is it possible to populate the network stream list without typing them in with the remote? I am using a raspberry pi to stream channels with a tv tuner to several apple tv's, but populating all the channels into vlc for apple tv is extremely tedious. Any ideas?
