FLAC files - not grouped by album?

Postby Beiji » 18 Jul 2016 04:11

I am using VLC on ios ... I can play FLAC just fine, and VLC reads the metadata, but does not group the files into an album... so they are all listed as single files on the "all files" section, whereas the mp3 show up as albums there.

I'm at a loss for how to fix this.

Regrettably, you can't fix that yourself. I need to do that.

However, you can group them to a folder manually.

Re: FLAC files -play order

I have successfully uploaded some live Dead & Co concerts to my iPhone. They are flac files. They don't load to the Music Album Library and only play one at a time. If I group them to a folder, they all play from the last song to the first. How do I get them to play in the correct order first to last.
The files are deadco date d1_01_Song name, d102...d201...
Thanks...

You can manually change the order of songs within a folder. Press edit, then you will see on the right of every file three lines. Press and hold the three lines, this will allow you to move the files up or down.

edit: When will metadata be available for FLAC files? It's getting a bit tedious to manually construct my library on the iPhone . It's better than iTunes deleting 80% of my music with "Automatically Add to iTunes". However, it would be really nice if you guys would make this a priority.

Yeah, that works, but it's a hassle. Really hope they fix this soon.
