IPAD VLC - NO AUDIO ON LARGE AVI FILES

Not getting audio on ipad with large avi files. All other formats seem to work.

More info: an 800 mb avi file is fine. A 1.3 gb avi file won't play sound on VLC. The 1.3 gb avi file will play sound on BUZZ player. So no problem with the 1.3 gb file; no problem with the ipad. Something is stopping VLC from playing the larger avi file's audio.
