Problem with character encoding - Apple TV

Postby pojawka » 30 Jun 2016 08:24

Hello,
I have problem with polish characters in VLC Mobile for Apple TV. I've set encoding just like on my MacBook (Eastern Europe - Windows 1250), but polish characters are not displayed. Is it possible that the problem lies with the fonts available in the player?

Hi!
I have the same problem.
I've just installed tvos 10 and latest VLC app on apple TV and encoding is set to Eastern Europe - Windows 1250 as usual and I see strange characters.
Only subtitles in english works fine.
Any ideas?

In the same folder I also have subtitles in polish but VLC app on apple tv is not seeing them so I'm downloading it within the app with opensubtitles.

Regards,
iras
