File shift when opening video on Synology NAS (DLNA access)

Postby bastou » 23 Feb 2016 16:49

Hi.
I have a Synology NAS and connect to it through VLC on IPAD and Apple TV 4.
In one folder, i have a subfolder and video on the same level.
When selecting and opening on video, this is the video next in the list that is opened instead.
There is a shift of 1 in opening file.
That does not appears when no subfolder are present in the video folder.

I have no trouble when doing the same action through my Provider Box (Bouygues Miami Box with Android OS).

Thanks for your help.

Yep, we had similar reports, but to fix the issue, I have the genuine problem that I couldn't find a UPnP/DLNA server yet which can show folders and files in a folder at the same time. Weird :D

Oh, Freebox is a good idea. I'll have access to one later this week :)

Yes, I failed to get access to a suitable test scenario. This is on my list still. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Great to hear!

The same fix is also part of version 1.0.5 for tvOS / Apple TV.
