VLC iOS iPhone app

Hello,

I am using the iPhone app and have some AVI files I am trying to view. There is only sound, no image can be seen.

When I use the same file in VLC on my Mac both sound and image and be seen. Any ideas why this is?
I am on the most up to date iOS

What's your iPhone? and what is the video codec involved and the resolution of the video? For the latter information, you can long touch on the media item in the library view on iPhone to reveal this.

I have an iPhone 6 plus running iOS 8.4.1. As for the video information, it says:

1 video track (TSCC)
1 Audio track
MP3 93 kbit/s mono

Resolution 676x 500
