VLC and RavPower rp-wd02

Postby Userdefault » 18 Aug 2015 17:08

Hello all,

I have an iPad within iOS 8.4.1 and a device called RavPower RP-WD02 equipped with an HDD about 1TO.
The device RavPower is used to create an access point to share data (movie, picture, music and so on).

To connect my iPad to the RavPower I use an application called "RAV Filehub". After start this application (RAV Filehub), I select my file (in my case movie) and choice to play it with VLC. After that VLC starting.
But impossible to show the movie.
I have found one temporary solution. After VLC start, double clic on "home button" of my iPad, then choice a new time VLC. At this moment the movie can be showing.

I think this behavior isn't correct.
By the way, several movie doesn't match with VLC about sound codec.

Could you help me, or maybe correct this problem ??

Thanks a lot,
Regards

Are you using version 2.6.4 of VLC for iOS?

Hi,

I do share the same experience - no chance VLC can reproduce a video from the RAV Power RP-WD2 Filehub on my new iPad Air.

I'm fairly new to the iOS, just tried the same process I was used to with my Android Galaxy Tab which still works wonder this way.

I had taken it might have to do with iOS rights, iTunes usage pre-requisites and the likes, then I'm sticking to my Galaxy for the time I learn some more about that world.

Thanks Felix, keep up the good work!

Yes, there is, with the share button. However, you should open new threads for new questions.
