VLC 2.3.0 iOS8 bug

Dear people,
I have an iPad with the VLC 2.3.0 since recent (last Sunday) I am experiencing problems.

Situation:
I started a few downloads from my DLNA server in my network. Not long after I had to leave for an event (my parents drove). My guess is that the downloads had not yet finished.

Leaving the house and getting into the car I only realize later on that it problably had failed downloads by now. No problem I would think i'll just watch the series that were downloaded already.

On opening VLC I saw the previous state of the file list (the one before the downloads) and then crash. No information or nothing. (My guess an error while parsing the file list). Having my laptop with me I tested a few things and sadly the problem is persistent.

Problem:
From the moment I have 3 files of a show (grouped on view) on my iPad VLC 2.3.0 crashes on opening (this was not previous the case). I have tested with several files and adding a single file from another show files is no problem. So it's not the limit of 3 files but rather the limit of 3 files for 1 show.

Testing:

I have added and removed files with iTunes to test several possible cases with several different files.
I have added files with downloading them from the DLNA server.
I have reinstalled VLC 2.3.0 with the backup on my iTunes.


I have not yet found a similar case on the forum. I hope this can help with debugging several problems

As a developer I have been looking to help on the iOS8 version but I cannot seem to find the way too it.
