I started using VLC on my iPad Air a couple of weeks ago. Since then, I've run in to the same problem multiple times and can't figure it out.
I'll use today as an example. I got on a flight this afternoon and used VLC to watch a few videos, without any problem. When getting off the plane, I simply closed the cover on the iPad. While waiting for my next flight, I was browsing the internet on the iPad. When I went back to VLC, there was no audio being output for any file I tried, including the files I watched on the plane. Checking in other apps showed that audio was working fine on the iPad. Rebooting didn't help. Closing all the apps in multitasking view didn't help.
When this problem has happened in the past, audio just magically started working days later. I can't for the life of me figure out what's causing this.
Has anyone else run in to this problem? Any ideas how to get audio working when it stops?
