VLC 2.2.0 TV Shows Library Empty

Postby sijones » 29 Jan 2014 00:05

Hello,

I am going in a bit of a loop here (read "loopy") in regards to getting TV Shows to populate. Currently running IOS7 with VLC 2.2.0 on both iPhone and IPAD.

I have tried several different ways to label both the TV Show (and the Metadata tags using MetaX program) as follows:-

Breaking.Bad.S01.E01.Pilot
Breaking.Bad.S01E01.Pilot
Breaking.Bad.S01xE01.Pilot
Breaking.Bad.1x1.Pilot
Plus a few more variations with and without the episode name. Nothing seems to work. Am I doing something wrong here? I am transferring the Video file directly to VLC via ITUNES and/or WiFi upload, but the files just appear in All Files and not TV Shows. In TV Shows, it reports Empty Media Library.

Any help appreciated.

"Breaking.Bad.S01E01.Pilot" is actually the endorsed format. Can you give it another spin?

Oh, and note that you need at least 2 episodes from the same show so it's displayed in TV shows..

Hi Felix,

Great thankyou, that has done the trick. I did try the S01E01 format but I was only trying with 1 episode, whereas with the S01.E01 I did try multiple files. Not sure if you have any involvement with the https://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation:IOS site, but it does say on there to use S01.E01 format. Hopefully that will be updated.

Once again, thanks for the help.

Shane
