Creating Folders in VLC for ios

Is there a way to create folders on my iphone version of VLC. I want to put several videos on but to organize them into folders.

No, there is no way to create folders in VLC for iOS (yet). However, the automatic TV show grouping introduced in version 2.1 might be helpful to you.

how do you use the automatic TV show grouping?

You can create a folder. Open "all files", then click on "edit", then you'll see a "folder" icon on the left of "Rename" at the bottom of the page. Click on that and you'll be asked to give the name for the new folder.
