I don't want to see old media

I'm using VLC on an Android TV. When I insert some media (eg. flash drive) I get thumbnails of all the videos - GREAT!!
When I eject and replace with another drive I still get the 'old' videos showing (with a tiny 'x') even after refreshing

Any way to NOT see the old ones as it's confusing.

I only want to see the available media.
