Media playback issues

Postby Kmb1187 » 17 Nov 2024 10:52

I have a Philips 70PUL7553/F7, a Google TV I'm running VLC 3.5.7. I'm having issues with play back. I stream files from my PC, windows 11, over smb via the share option per folder/drive. The operation worked fine with an older TV. My issue also occurs when I use my android device to stream the video file.

1) issue: some titles, at start, put my TV in a loop of colored screens. Only the video is affected. I can still operate the menus and hear sound.

Question: are there library packs for codecs I would need for this particular TV?

2) issue: when titles play, they will play for about a quarter of the length of the file then stop. When the video is stopped and reopened it will play again but will stop again.

Question: is there a buffer area between my PC and my Google TV VLC interface that can maybe help with playback? Are other protocols better suited like nfs?
