VLC crashes when playing video downloaded through torrents

As the title suggests, has anyone else encountered this and found a fix? If I download video regularly, or download it on PC and transfer it, it's fine. If I download it via torrent on my phone, it will never play through. Even if the torrent program is closed before playback begins .This has been constant for me across several phones and over several years. I'm a bit done ignoring the problem, I need a solution. Any help?

Could you please share some logs? Reproduce the issue and then go to: Settings > Advanced > Debug logs. Then share the logs with the sharing service you prefer (Google Drive, Dropbox, pastebin...).
