Unable to Discover Scan SMB folder via VPN

Hello,

I seem to be unable to do this with VLC on Android. I have a rather large music collection that I'd like to have cataloged in VLC and I tried to have it scanned last night while I was local to the server but now I'm out and every time I try to have it scan the folder, I later get an error that the scan failed. We're not talking about a connection issue, I'm a net admin - and I can browse and even play items from the folder.

Version is currently 3.5.4 (just joined the beta but seems as thought he play store hasn't caught up yet)
Reproduction steps:
Setup and use VPN (in this case wireguard, I'm doing it via NAT and forwarding all traffic but not needed for this case)
Add share (I did it manually in this case to cut out DNS so I used the IP of the server)
Connect to share and then press the 3 dot menu and scan this folder, leave for any other folder and observe failure notice message.

Now I did have the share added automatically by name at first and that wasn't working, then I noticed that I had a public DNS as priority over the remote DNS, I changed the order and it worked again via VPN but I notice the scan was incomplete. I removed that share and then proceeded to have the new share scanned.

The playing file is a deeper path on the Failed Discovery message's path.

Could you please share some logs? Reproduce the issue and then go to: Settings > Advanced > Debug logs. Then share the logs with the sharing service you prefer (Google Drive, Dropbox, pastebin...).

Hello,

Ooo, sorry I didn't know that was an option! Here you go. There is a screen cap too, but I kept brain farting and the screen recording isn't done at the exact same time the log was generated. The actions were the same except the last time I went to play the song it played in the log run but not the screencap.

I'm also going to clear data for the app and redo the share, I don't really have anything else set in there.

Hi,

I did a capture with pca for android, it works but putting up an onboard VPN to get the packets. This produced the same results. I will allow you to see this file but I'll have to password protect it.

The destination in this case is a Synology NAS, I decided to check my other windows boxes. Here is a quick breakdown.
Server 2022: Can't connect at all (did have a capture on this, seems it doesn't try and pass credentials to windows, doesn't ask me for any.
Win 10, Can't connect at all (I'd guess same issue as server 22)
Windows 7, connects just fine, even to hidden shares, did not test scanning via vpn, no media on this box.

All boxes, including the Synology, no longer answer to SMB1 or NTLANMANv1. I did turn them on for a moment for the Synology and there was no change.
