can't show external subtitle

When playing HLS， can't show external subtitle ,I don't why? When I play a mp4 file,the same subtitle file can show !
I used v3.5.4
Please Help me!

Could you please share some logs? Reproduce the issue and then go to: Settings > Advanced > Debug logs. Then share the logs with the sharing service you prefer (Google Drive, Dropbox, pastebin...).

External subtitles show only if external subtiles exist only in mkv and mp4
In mixed solution (external+internal) shows only internal on android tv

If exist too many subtitles (about 40) the application cannot select subtitles and crashed -> make restart system
