Resume is broken after 20240126 nightly

For the last 2 weeks I've become a master at seeking through my media trying to find the place where I left off watching. I expected it to be fixed so I carried on but it finally drove me crazy. Every time my screen would timeout, the video started playing from the beginning.

I downloaded a dozen versions and traced it down to the 20240126 nightly being the last version that still works. All versions after that, and to this day this post is going out (about a week worth) are all broken.

I'm on armv7.

Your diligence and detail should let Developers look at a single day's changes instead of the entire code base, and promptly solve this problem.
