I notice that a (not enabled) permission for VLC on my Android 13 phone (a Google Pixel 6a) is "Display over other apps".
Why would VLC even have that permission as a possibility? What use case might ever want/need it?

VLC allows you to play the videos in a small window on top of apps in case your watching something but quickly want to do something else

You will get a small window that will be playing the video sort of like this.
