Fire TV Audio Delay.

Hi guys,
Sorry, I can see that this has been asked in the past but I can’t really see a definitive answer.

I’m running VLC on an Amazon Fire TV Cube and the audio is always -200ms out.
I can adjust it for every show I watch just fine and it fixes it but it NEVER remembers the settings.

I always click ‘apply to all videos’ and I’ve checked that the remember option is ticked in settings but it doesn’t make any difference.

I have to manually go in and change the delay every video I watch and it’s a bit of a bind as my son is autistic and really notices the lip sync issue. :/

Any ideas?

Thank you :)

What version of vlc?
What codec and container?...x264, x265, mkv, mp4; etc.
Are the videos streaming from the internet, local storage, or your internal local network?

I got the exact same issue on my galaxy s10.

Audio is out of sync exactly 200ms. I have to set audio delay to -200ms for all video ( but for me the setting is remembered )

The only answer I got is to wait for vlc 4.0.

Hope for you you'll get a better answer...

Hi, it’s 3.4.3 which is the latest available for Fire TV.
The codec and container varies from .mp4 to MPEGTS and x264 and 5. Net steaming and local storage but doesn’t make any difference. The audio is out on all of them.

A little look on Google shows it’s a common issue. Just wondered if anyone had found a fix 👍🏻

It’s a bind.
I hope they hurry up and fix it. I like VLC a lot but this is making it so hard to use.

I just took a look and the value set to all videos seems to only be used for videos that have been indexed by the medialibrary. I just opened an issue here: https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc- ... ssues/2669
