Subtitles are not Auto Enabled

I just installed 3.5.0 on the Fire TV Stick 4K.

Internal or external subtitles do not auto-load/auto-enabled; I have to manually enable them for each individual video.

The "Auto Load subtitles" in general settings is enabled. Is this feature not supported or I'm I missing something? In other players that I have tested, this feature works so that the subtitles are automatically enabled for all videos that have internal or external subtitles available without having to manually enable them for each individual video.

Everything else seems to be working fine.

To have your subtitles have priority over not having priority

do this

tools, preferences "ctrl+p" up the top u will see subtitles option... there is a box listed "enable Subtitles" that will give u what you want.. "v" turns it on and off as usual. hope i helped

I don't think so; this part of the Forum is for the Android/Chrome product, and OP has 3.5.0, the (almost) newest version of it.

@linuxlad are these files in your device or from a network share (SMB, UPnP, ...)?
