Could you install a copy of VLC 3.4.0 Beta 2 from https://artifacts.videolan.org/vlc-android/release/ and give this another try?

This build won't install on my Android 10. The ARM64 one. Yes, my Android 10 is ARM64-V8A and I already have the release of VLC-Android-3.3.4-arm64-v8a.apk installed on it.
I've tried to update v3.3.4 and it didn't work. It asked me if I wanted to update, I answered Yes, but it ends up with "Application not installed".
So I completly uninstalled v3.3.4 after clearing cache and preferences but it still won't install. "Application not installed".

Reinstalling VLC-Android-3.3.4-arm64-v8a.apk worked.
So there is something wrong with this v3.4.0 beta 2 ARM64 build.

Yes, that seems to be the case (apk is unsigned). Could you try the July 10 build from the nightly folder instead? https://artifacts.videolan.org/vlc-andr ... tly-arm64/

This build is a nightmare for me

First, it crashes when using the settings:
Video -> Prefered video resolution : crashes VLC when I change the setting
Subtitles -> Subtitles Background : crashes VLC when I change the setting
Audio -> MIDI SoundFont : crashes VLC as soon as I tap on the option, I can't set a SoundFont file at all.

History doesn't work. At all.

And I just got an alert from the App Power Management of my A51 saying that VLC is using too much battery.

Thanks for all the reports. I'm working on fixing these issues.

Videos tab in list mode, grouped by folders.
It may appear as large enough on a computer but on a phone it's not.

It's part of the redesign we made. The goal was to have more visible items in the screen.

Will the color mark be returned to place soon?

These shades of gray in the new interface are a bad idea, and a step backwards.

Open it, tries to load files and then crashes.

Will the color mark be returned to place soon?

This is part of the redesign. If we have a lot of complaints about it, we may change it.

Could you please be more specific? Please explain exactly what doesn't work and how to reproduce.
