Empty progress pop-up

In the Nightly dated 30-May: I put song 1 and 2 in the queue, song 1 playing. I flick away song 1. Song 2 starts playing. The "Track: ... Progress:" pop-up is still displayed—but it's got no text! It's just a square above the line graph.

PS—This seems to be the case whenever the queue has only one entry. Someone satisfied my request that multitrack progress not be displayed when there's only one track, thanks! But the pop-up should disappear entirely.

Not sure I understood what you are asking for. You want the app to remember the popup mode between playbacks ("Progress: x/y" vs "Ends at: x")?

Above, I only suggested that the user's selection of Elapsed vs Remaining carry into the pop-up, both track time and total queue time.

Earlier, I did suggest that, instead of queue time remaining, VLC display the time of day that play will end. This probably implies another mode, and yes, it should be persistent, as the user's preference won't change depending on what's playing. (The popup could display both formats, but that might be clutter for users who mostly don't care.)

Thanks again! I like the simpler format! Quibbles:
•Progress never changes to Remaining to match the single-track progress meter. (Remaining time should simply be the difference between the two figures displayed now, with a minus sign as in the single-track meter.)
•Ends at: should show seconds. Say I intended to queue up tracks to end at the top-of-hour news. Am I short? and will have to speak to "vamp" until the news begins? Am I long? and will have to look at the wall clock and fade out the music at the proper time?
•"Stop after this track" should also make the pop-up go away.

ALMOST perfect! I have the Nightly for 9-Jun.

① Ends at: is recomputed continually and usually oscillates between two adjacent seconds; distracting. (Pick the wrong one and be off by 1 second and no one will notice.) Recommend you recompute only on an event such as new track or user intervention.
② Ends at: should reflect "Use 24-hour format" from Android settings.
