"Mark as Played" Improvements to VLC for Android

1. When files are Grouped by Name etc., they are represented by a single composite thumbnail with a label that says "N videos". However, at present simply by looking at that thumbnail there's no way to tell whether all the videos in that group have already been played or not. For that one has to currently click on the group's thumbnail first to display all the files inside, then see whether all their thumbnails have the white check mark on orange triangle or not.

So I'd like to propose that if all the files in a group have been played, then the group's combined thumbnail should also automatically display the white check mark on orange triangle. That way, a single glance at the top-level group thumbnail itself will suffice to know whether all the files in that group have been played already or not.

2. I selected the wrong file and marked it as played by mistake, then couldn't find any way to undo this short of nuking the entire media database and starting over, which is ridiculous. So unless I missed something obvious, it would be nice to have an option to remove the played check mark as well.

2. There is indeed no way to remove the marker. I see two things here:

- Clearing the history should remove that marker from all medias. https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc- ... ssues/2030
- We should add a mark as not played action. https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc- ... ssues/2031

I have to say, the white check mark on bright orange triangle in 3.3.x was far more visible on various colored thumbnails than the subdued white check mark on translucent gray square in 3.4.0.

One more thing: https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc- ... ssues/2031 had been closed and the Mark as not played option is now available for individual played files. Similarly, grouped files have a Mark all as played option, but if all the files in a group have already been played then for consistency a Mark all as not played option should be displayed instead.

Hi guys, any news regarding the "Mark all as not played option" for grouped videos? The issue that was mentioned in the previous reply has been merged but the option is still not there.
