Hello guys, I'm new here, thanks for your attention:

I have an app for android phone (xiaomi a2 lite), I learned how to share a folder on windows 10 and access to that folder via VLC -> Local Network, however when I access to that folder I can't see the thumbnail, no matter what type of file is, as far as i've tested; .mp4 and .ts wont show thumbnails.

Do you know if there is some solution? I would like to see thumbnails on my windows PC folder via VLC app on my phone!

This is indeed a limitation of the app. To get a thumbnail, the file has to be indexed (VLC determines the image at this time) and for now it's not possible to index network files.
The good news is it will probably be added in the next version (3.4).

actually it showed one thumbnail but that's all, on Windows for this SMB server every videos have thumbnails

When you play a media, a thumbnail is generated. So you can see the thumbnails for already played medias.
