Recently revamped version has bugs / features missing

If I set "landscape" for the video display it only goes landscape on only one side of the phone, not the other. This was not the case in the all-yellow "pre revamped" VLC for android. Then it used to go landscape either way — depending on whichever long side is the "up" one. Now it stays fixed in one landscape mode no matter how I rotate the phone's display.

This is something we know and that will be fixed in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well then, when is this future? It has been almost a year now.

I'm glad you know and remember this humble little feature that existed before (in the old VLC for android). Which is why it's rather odd that here I am months and months later, asking that simple option to be reinstated . It's not like I'm requesting an elaborate fancy new time-consuming feature that requires research, which has happened many places elsewhere on the app between now and February 2021.

It's fixed in the 3.4.1 version that is currently rolling out. If you don't have it yet, you can install it here: http://get.videolan.org/vlc-android/3.4.1/
