Browsing the network & Login details Do_Not_Work ?

Hello All,
I run VLC media player on my PC, Android Phone & Smart TV (in android mode).
As for the windows version I cannot fault it!
The android version does not work properly for me, when I browse the folders and look to the network using (SMB protocol) for my film collection.
On my phone it accepts the Login Name and Password, but it will not remember it, and repeatedly asks for it as I drill down folders.
As for my TV, VLC media Player is hopeless! when I enter the user name and password it informs me that I have used the wrong one and refreshes the screen and asks for it again, so I am in a vicious circle.
I should have pointed out I have tried with connections on both WI-FI and Ethernet Cable, CAT_7
Are these to be known faults or am I missing something here?

What version of the app are you using? Is your SMB server an SMBv1 server or another version?

VLC media player is Version 3.3.4
SMB Server is Windows10 20H2 (SMBv1.0/CIFS)

I have tried removing the tick from the prefer SMB 1 option box in the advanced setting
of VLC media player as this is a suggestion offered by the software if you have problems.

Can you try to upgrade your server to another SMB version?

All my other Hardware is running SMBv1.0
The Router
The Media Server
Windows PC
Apps on my phone
So I won't be changing to SMB 2
or FTP.
I have other android software that has no problem accessing and using the network.
So I would say VLC media player should fix the problem,otherwise I will use another media player that can do the Job,
like KMPlayer...
Has anyone else got any bright ideas in how to Fix this problem...???
