VLC can't find 'music' folder on SD card

Hi,

I recently changed the default storage location to my SD card, where the music is stored in a folder imaginatively called 'Music'. But now VLC cannot find my 'Music' folder, which it could before. Yes, I can access the folder by browsing within VLC to Storages~>Internal Memory - but that just presents all my folders and sub-folders in alphabetical order, nothing else. That is, no sorting (Artist, Album, Tracks, etc), no pictures, no random shuffle, and so on. If anybody can help me, that would be great.

I have a Huawei P10 Lite and version 3.3.4 of VLC - which is installed on internal storage, not the SD card.

Thanks,
DANNY

At the top of Settings (click on More at lower right corner) are two settings that tell VLC where it can look for music. "Media library folders" brings up a tree of all the folders to which VLC has access. If you have guided VLC to the music folders in internal storage, you need to go back in, navigate to the music folder(s) on the SD, and tap the relevant squares to fill them in. (If the SD is not in this tree, that's a separate problem to investigate.) (If switching to the SD has un-checked the music folders in internal storage, re-check them.)

Then either enable Auto rescan, or go into Audio and order a Refresh.
