Video is not casting on Chromecast

When I am trying to cast video from my android phone to my tv with Chromecast. The movie start but nothing happen on the tv. I read on internet that Chromecast doesn't read some kind of video file like mkv.

Can I have some answers about this problems ? Is it VLC or Chromecast who create this problem ?

Hi,
I don't know which one is related to this, but here is my user experience: mkv files can be read and casted to tv set under Android 7. From time to time the cast icon doesn't appear on VLC screen (phone). In this case I force casting with Google Home. The reverse issue also happens at stop of reading, although more frequently : no way to disconnect the Chromecast as the cast icon doesn't respond, the tv display freezes on the last frame. Then I run again Google Home.

@asian001: could you please send some logs? To do so, reproduce the issue and then go to: Settings > Advanced > Debug logs. Then share the logs with the sharing service you prefer (Google Drive, Dropbox, pastebin...).
